Our products are made from multiple materials. Please dispose of them responsibly according to local waste regulations. Where possible, separate components before disposal.

Product materials:

• Recycled plastic (main material)
• Metal parts (studs, rivets, rings, frames)
• PU or synthetic materials(if applicable)
• Textile (if applicable)
• Paper/cardboard (hangtag)

Disposal guidance:

• Plastic components: dispose according to local plastic recycling rules.
• Metal parts: dispose via metal recycling where available.
• Textile components: follow local textile waste regulations.
• If separation is not possible, dispose of the product as mixed household waste according to local regulations.
• The hangtag: Dispose as paper recycling where available and the plastic cord dispose according to local plastic waste rules.

In accordance with French environmental regulations (AGEC Law), our products and packaging are subject to sorting instructions when sold in France. Follow local sorting rules for product materials.

Sorting and disposal guidance:

• Plastic components: dispose according to local household waste or plastic sorting rules.
• Metal parts: may be recycled via appropriate metal collection systems where available.
• Textile elements: follow local textile collection systems where available.
• If separation of materials is not possible, dispose of the product according to local mixed waste regulations.

At Handed By, product safety is a priority. All our products placed on the European market comply with the requirements of the EU General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988.
Below you will find important safety information regarding the use of our bags and baskets.

1. Intended Use

• Our products are designed as fashion and lifestyle accessories for carrying personal belongings.
• They are not designed for:
• Use as toys
• Climbing or load-bearing purposes
• Carrying excessive weight beyond normal personal use

2. General Safety Instructions

• To ensure safe use of your product:
• Do not overload the bag beyond reasonable carrying capacity.
• Avoid carrying extremely heavy or sharp objects that may damage the material.
• Regularly check handles, straps, studs and other attachments for signs of wear.
• Discontinue use if parts become loose, damaged or detached.
• Keep away from small children if the product contains small detachable components

3. Small Parts Warning (if applicable)

Some models may contain small components such as:
• Studs
• Rivets
• Metal rings
• Zippers

These parts may present a choking hazard if detached.
This product is not a toy.

All materials used in our products comply with applicable EU chemical safety requirements under the REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
We regularly request and maintain compliance documentation from our suppliers to ensure material safety.

5. Maintenance & Care

To maintain product safety and durability:
• Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
• Do not expose to open flames.
• Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent when necessary.
• Do not use aggressive chemicals or solvents.

Improper care may reduce product lifespan and safety.

6. Traceability Information

Each product carries a batch number for traceability purposes.
This batch number allows us to identify:
• Production period
• Material batch
• Supplier documentation

Please retain the hangtag or note the batch number for reference.

7. Reporting a Safety Concern

If you believe a product presents a safety risk or defect, please contact us immediately.
